Our school held a coordination meeting for the United Nations World Tourism Organization Tourism Education Quality Certification work

To further enhance the internationalization level of talent cultivation and lay a solid foundation for training more high-quality cultural and tourism talents needed in the new era, on the afternoon of December 3rd, Nanjing Xiaozhuang University (NJXU) held a coordination meeting for the United Nations World Tourism Organization Tourism Education Quality (UN Tourism TedQual) Certification. Vice President Benyu Wang, heads of relevant functional departments of the school, the party and administrative leadership of the School of Tourism and Social Management (STSM), and teachers of the Tourism Management major attended the meeting. The meeting was chaired by Fumin Gu, director of the University's Education Quality Evaluation Center.

At the meeting, the person in charge of STSM introduced the United Nations World Tourism Organization Tourism Education Quality Certification system and explained the certification work plan for the Tourism Management major, including the significance of tourism education quality certification, indicators of tourism education quality certification, certification process requirements, and task decomposition of the certification work.

Subsequently, Vice President Wang assigned and arranged the relevant work at the meeting. He also put forward clear requirements for the certification work. He emphasized that the existing disciplinary development foundation and faculty talent team provide a solid foundation for the Tourism Management major to carry out international certification work. The certification should be taken as an opportunity to further unite professional aspirations and ambitions, and strive to be among the best. This certification is not only an important indicator of NJXU’s new round of high-quality development and an important dimension of professional construction but also an important opportunity for the college to consolidate educational management and talent training. He wished the certification work a complete success.
